Mid-Century Cork Clock with Black Hands. A truly handmade wall art piece for minimalists, maximalists, futurists, brutalists or none of these. Handmade in Vienna. Cork and Plywood, 2024.

The clock is fitted with a quartz movement mechanism. Although the seconds hand makes a ticking movement, the resulting sound is very low and will not disturb.

This is a real handmade clock that I make in my small studio in Vienna just for you. I design and make all of my pieces by hand (apart from the mechanism of course) and this makes this clock unique. The design is the result of many hours of sketching, colouring and making collages, made to order only by me for you.

The mid-century cork clock features a modern, minimalist design with a rectangular black frame from plywood and a central square made of natural cork. The contrast between the sleek black frame and the warm, textured cork creates a visually appealing look. Simple black clock hands stand out against the cork background, maintaining a clean and elegant aesthetic. This design combines organic and contemporary elements, making it a stylish addition to modern interiors, whether in homes or offices.

Helpful information

My pieces are not indestructible! Clean only with a duster, no water or chemicals. Avoid touching any brass parts with bare hands as this will stain the surface slowly over time.

I take the pictures trying to stay as true to the real colour as possible, but there might be slight differences depending on monitor settings. Please contact me for any questions or clarifications you might need, I am always happy to help!

Set the time only from the dial on the back of the clock. Moving the hands directly with your fingers can destroy the clock mechanism.

Each object is handmade to order and therefore unique! The size may vary for up to a couple of millimetres and in all likelihood you will not get the object pictured, but one that looks just like that
