SCOPE AND SELLER INFORMATION
These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through the Jagged Squares website. Jagged Squares is operated by Danai Rothenthal, based in Austria. ORDERS AND CONTRACT FORMATION
By placing an order through the Jagged Squares website, you submit an offer to purchase the selected products under these Terms and Conditions. An automated order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order but does not necessarily constitute acceptance. The contract is concluded when Jagged Squares confirms acceptance of your order or otherwise clearly confirms that the order has been accepted. If we cannot fulfil an order, we will inform you and refund any payment received for the unfulfilled order. Please check your order details carefully before submitting your order. If you notice an error after placing an order, contact us as soon as possible at info@jaggedsquares.com. Changes or cancellations may not be possible once an order has been processed or production has begun.
HANDMADE PRODUCTS AND PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
Our products are handmade, and minor variations in colour, texture, finish, dimensions or appearance may occur as a result of the production process. Product photographs are provided for illustrative purposes, and colours may appear differently depending on your screen and device settings. We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs and dimensions are accurate. These variations do not affect your statutory rights if a product is faulty or does not conform to its description.
CUSTOM AND PERSONALISED ORDERS
We may accept custom or personalised orders by prior agreement. The agreed design, specifications, price and estimated production or delivery time will be confirmed before work begins. You are responsible for ensuring that the details, text, measurements, images and other materials you provide are accurate and that you have permission to use any material supplied to us. Changes requested after production has begun may incur additional costs or require a revised delivery estimate. We will inform you of any additional costs and obtain your agreement before proceeding. The statutory right of withdrawal may not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you where the applicable legal exception is satisfied. This exception does not automatically apply to all handmade products or all custom orders.
PRICES, VAT AND PAYMENT
All prices are displayed in the currency indicated on the website. The final amount charged may differ from the displayed amount if your payment provider applies currency conversion fees or other charges. Jagged Squares operates under the Austrian small-business VAT exemption pursuant to § 6 Abs. 1 Z 27 of the Austrian VAT Act (UStG), where applicable. VAT is therefore not charged on eligible sales under this exemption. Payment must be made using the payment methods displayed at checkout. Orders may not be dispatched until the required payment has been authorised or received. Payments are processed by the relevant third-party payment provider, and Jagged Squares does not intentionally store full payment card details on its website.
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
We ship to the countries and destinations available at checkout and may exclude certain destinations because of legal restrictions, carrier limitations or other practical delivery constraints. Processing times and estimated delivery times are provided where available. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise. We will inform you of significant delays where required. Shipping costs and available delivery options will be displayed before you complete your order. Customs clearance or other circumstances outside our reasonable control may delay international deliveries. For consumer orders, the transfer of risk during shipping is governed by applicable consumer protection laws. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes any mandatory rights you may have if an order is lost or damaged in transit.
CUSTOMS DUTIES AND IMPORT CHARGES
Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to import duties, import VAT, customs handling fees or other charges imposed by the destination country. Unless the checkout or a separate written agreement states otherwise, the customer is responsible for applicable import charges. Customers are responsible for checking any import restrictions that apply in their country. We cannot guarantee that customs authorities will release every shipment or that a delivery will be free from additional charges. This clause does not remove any obligations imposed on Jagged Squares by applicable law.
CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Consumers have the right to withdraw from eligible online purchases within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. To exercise this right, please contact info@jaggedsquares.com within the applicable 14-day period. After notifying us of your decision to withdraw, you must return the goods within a further 14 days. You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, provided you were informed of this before purchase and applicable law permits it. Refunds will include the original standard delivery costs where required by law. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed. We may withhold the refund until the returned goods have been received or evidence of their return has been provided, as permitted by law. You may be liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. In addition to the statutory withdrawal period, we accept return requests made within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is returned in its original condition. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. This additional return offer does not limit any statutory consumer rights. The statutory right of withdrawal may not apply to goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised for the customer, where the applicable legal exception applies. This exception does not automatically apply to all handmade products. Statutory rights relating to faulty or non-conforming goods remain unaffected.
STATUTORY GUARANTEE AND PRODUCT CONFORMITY
Consumers benefit from the statutory rights applicable to goods that are faulty or do not conform to the contract. These rights are separate from any voluntary commercial guarantee. We will handle complaints concerning faulty or non-conforming products in accordance with applicable law. Please contact info@jaggedsquares.com and include your order number and relevant details.

Unless otherwise stated, the designs, artwork, product images, text, graphics and other original content on the Jagged Squares website are owned by or used with permission by Jagged Squares and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish or otherwise use this content for commercial purposes without prior written permission, except where permitted by applicable law. Access to or use of this website does not grant you ownership of, or any licence to use, our intellectual property.
SECURITY
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We do not intentionally store full payment card details on this website. Online payments are processed by third-party payment service providers, such as Stripe, through their payment systems. The payment methods available at checkout depend on your location and the options enabled at the time of purchase. Please refer to the relevant payment provider’s privacy policy for information about how it processes payment data.
GOVERNING LAW AND CONSUMER RIGHTS
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Austrian law, subject to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that apply under the law applicable to a particular customer. Where a customer qualifies as a consumer, nothing in these Terms and Conditions deprives that customer of mandatory rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version applicable to an order is the version that applies when the relevant contract is concluded, subject to any changes required by law or agreed with the customer. The current version will be published on the Jagged Squares website.
